Ferret nicknames:
 
In general - fuzzbeans (I picked that up here!), pole-kitties, puppies (I
don't know why!), Rug-rats, smelly-ferrets (when they poop on the bottom on
the cage instead of in their box.)
 
Sammy - Sammy-Sam, Big-Lug, Kissy-face (he loves to give kisses)
 
Tequila - 'Quila, KeeKee, Wiggle-worm (she never sits still!)
 
Cinnamon - Cinny, My-sweet-little-girl
 
Buddy - Buddy-boy, Buddy-Monster, Ow-don't-bite-so-hard
 
    A while ago, Karl posted about some women being allergic to ferret
pheromones.  Well, I've never been bothered by any allergies in the past but
shortly after I got my first fuzzy, Sammy, I started breaking out with a red
rash on my face and neck.  I immediately thought that I was allergic to
Sammy.  But, the dermatologist assured me that it couldn't be the ferret!
He diagnosed it as Atopic excema (ie.  excema that occurs for unexplained
reasons, like ferrets maybe?!) Since then, I'd acquired 3 more ferrets and
the rash was no worse for it.  The cream that the doctor gave me seems to
keep it under control.  Now, I'm hardly bothered by it except for an
occasional itch every now and then, especially when I play alot with the
fuzzbeans.  Veeeeery interrrresting!
 
    One last thing, does anyone out there have fuzzies who like to give
kisses?  Three out of my four give me kisses regularly.  Sammy will kiss me
on the lips for hours if I let him (lick, lick, lick, LICK, LICK...  "Ok,
Sammy, that's enough." said through mouthfuls of ferret tongue...  LICK,
LICK, LICK).  Tequila likes to chew on my lip as she kisses...  lick, lick,
lick, *chomp*, *chomp*, lick, lick.  Cinnamon would rather kiss me on the
forehead.  When I pick her up, she'll crane her neck to reach my forehead
and I'll bow my head so she can kiss me.  And Buddy is too much of a man to
kiss his mother.  "Mom, boys don't kiss their mothers!  What'll my friends
think!!" How do your ferrets kiss????
