I have no idea what to call Emma's coloration and hoped you guys might
be able to help (gee, where'd I get that idea???)...
Her underfur is a yellowish/cream color all over, excepting the tail which
is grey and cream (salt-and-pepper). From her shoulders back, the guard
hairs on her back are grey. Right between her ears, she has two small grey
markings. They're sort of triangular, almost rectangular, and reach from
beside the backs of her ears to a bit beside the fronts of her ears (but
still above where her eyebrows would be if she had 'em). Those are her only
markings.... Any ideas?
I'm still not sure what to call Seth's, either...He has white underfur and a
faint light brown mask. The guardhairs on top of his head are grey, and
from the shoulders back they're also grey (darkening toward the tail). The
tail is almost black. He's got white feet and grey legs. Also, he has a
white bib. Any thoughts on him?
I was reading some old issues of the FML and noticed the mention of German
ferrets being larger than American. Then I saw the post about the huge
ferret seen in a shopping cart in a store. What's next, Ferotti? ;>
Wish me luck - I'm going to my mom's for about a week at Christmas, and my
carpet sharks are coming with me!...this'll be interesting....When I went
home for the summer, I took Seth with me. This was before he was officially
mine - I was ferretsitting while Kate was in England. Mom still has not
forgiven me for bringing that "ugly, stinking rodent" into her garage (she
wouldn't let him into the house). She doesn't know that he is now mine, nor
does she know about Emma.
Well, sometime in the next few days when I talk to her I'll tell her about
my traveling companions. If she throws a fit, I'll go to my dad's house or
just stay here.
- joyce (Love me, love my ferrets!)
- Seth the Beloved (you tell her i think she is just jealous because
we ferrets are so handsome)
- Emma (whered you hide the twizzlers give me twizzlers if i chew
your leg will you give me twizzlers)
