Hi all,

When I first got my ferrets, I tried finding a scale to weigh them on.
Food scales were too little, only going up to like 3 pounds max. I
couldn't find any postal scales, and baby scales were too expensive.

Today, I found the PERFECT scale! I found it at Walmart, and its called
"Kitchen Scale". Its a product of Walmart, saying on the bottom "Marketed
by WAL-MART STORES, INC. Bentonville, Arkansas 72716." I found my scale in
the kitchen supplies department of Madison, WI. It was the very last one
and I'd never seen one like it before (although I haven't been shopping to
a Walmart for 3 or 4 months). It cost $5.96.

The scale runs up to 10 pounds (divisions of ounces) or 4.6 kg (divisions
of 200 g) with zeroing knob. It has an optional tray included that you can
set on top which makes it easy to measure a ferret in. I measured my 5
pound male ferret in it, and he was so confused, he sat perfectly still (he
is normally VERY hyper).

Good luck!

Chris & Scooter, Nina, Tavi Bear, and Bailey Nutmeg.
