Hello All,
New subscriber here. Hope I don't mention anything common here. I just sent
for my FAQ.

First of all, I used to have two ferrets, until last Noveber when my buddy
Nick left. He died from what my vet said was kidney failure. His sickness
had progressed from what seemed like just a case of the flu, but he increasingly
required more sleep. I took him to the vet twice but he couldn't find anything
wrong with him. The difference between the two visits are that just before the
second one he started having conulsions. These may have occurred while I was
not there, but not sure. Took him in right away. Doc took some blood. Thought
maybe had somthing to do with his thyroid.

Brought him home that night had another convulsion took hi right back. Spent
the night at the hospital. Next day, he slipped into a comatose like state. Doc
said he had a high concentration of urea in his blood which could cause brain
damage.

I see we have some vets as subscribers. Does anybody have any idea what could
hafe happened to Nick. Please respond. my address is

As some of us know its worse when you can't figure out why they left.
It ways such as this all it seems your able to do is watch them get
worse. He was only a year old.

My other buddy, Pauly, was my original. With him a second question. When he
sleeps especially in someone's lap it seems he can only stay asleep for about
15 minutes at a time. He wakes up darts off and falls right back to sleep.
I think he may have nightmaress, but my spoiled little friend shouldn't hae
much to frightened about. Unless he has a recurring nightmare about the
vaccum cleaner. Can anybody explain this to me, or does anybody else's
ferret do this also.

Sorry so long just started and had these questions in my head a long time
Happy ferret boogien'
doug and pauly
