Hello again FML...it is great to be back after have no InterNet access
for a month (Are these issues getting huge or what?)
Well to flare up the old biting problem in the little hair-balls. Our
oldest, Iago at 1.5yrs., is one of our most wonderful and creative little
tikes. The problem is that she is fine with most everyone when it comes to
the biting thing...but the Question: Is it possible that a ferret can totally
dislike one (1) person? Not someone that abused her or anything like that,
just a friend of ours. Iago has never bitten us or anyone else (except for a
few unwary children and their little fingers through the bars). She bit Sue
(the unliked one) once when she put her fingers through the cage to pet her
like we do. About a week ago, Sue was just sitting at the table studying for
a test when Iago hopped up on the table and bit her hand and would not let go.
Iago was not provoked at all, but she knawed and drew blood. We have had her
since she was 8 weeks old and trained her like our other ferrets (who have
never bitten anyone, even kids), yet is it possible just to dislike one
person? Why?
One last thing, how can something so small, scream so loud? My SO was
playing chase with Iago, then all of a sudden Iago just looked at Andrea and
let out this near deafening screech. Andrea didn't even touch her. The only
other time when Iago screeched like that was when she was about 10 weeks old
and climbing in a box when Andrea bumped the box and Iago must have gotten
scared.
Todd and Andrea (Human)
Iago, Jake and Abu (Ferrets)
Jeepers (Cat)
Ralph (Iguana)
and finally a couple of fish and frogs
A wallsucker and a snail.
