Okay, I'm very behind here on the FML. Why, you ask? (as if you care)
Because I am spending my free time, which is very limited right now what
with wedding plans and moving arrangements, compiling a list of all the
ferret names. So far I'm only including names of ferrets that were emailed
to me, not ones I've seen in peoples stories, tips, and questions. Also, if
you just tell me "I have a friend who has a ferret named, Lalalalala," I
haven't been including the name. I WILL, however, include the name if you
tell me, "I have a friend named Angelica Dale Monica Holcomb, who has a
ferret name blahblahblah." This is because I cannot verify whether or not
someone ELSE sent me mail about the same ferret unless you include the name.
Make sense? I'm not really trying to be picky, there have been a few times
I've inputed names only to realize I'd already counted those ferrets. A few
husband/wife teams BOTH sent me mail about their precious babies. :) Now,
here's the problem I'm dealing with. I've developed a couple of databases,
one for owners and one for ferrets. I can make a nifty little chart for ME
to see, but when I try to copy and paste it to mail, it turns out looking
like cr*p. I tried saving it as a text file and it was even WORSE. I can
mail the Word document to anyone interested, but at this point I'm not sure
how I'll be able to post it. Any volunteers? To the nitty gritty... except
for the five or six messages I received today, I've keyed in everyone's
ferrets' names. There are 168 ferret names and ummm... nearly 60 owners. If
you haven't yet mailed me, please do so. There are many people interested in
this list. Stand up and be counted. There was one person that asked that I
not give him name or email. No problem. I've left him out. All he has in the
database is an owner number. :) I can leave out your info too, if you're in
a FFZ. This post has become much longer than I anticipated so I'll hush now.
