Harold met a cow today and he didn't kill it or even TRY!!!! Why do these stupid
beliefs about ferrets exist? Why do some people out there want them illegal? Are
they ignorant? Is it something political that I don't know about? The longer I
have ferrets, the more I don't understand the misconceptions out there. Why
don't people look at the facts? Don't they see that ferrets don't carry/die from
rabies quickly? Don't they know ferrets can't survive in the wild? I wish I
could put a sweet loving fuzzy on each of their laps so that they would KNOW!! I
admit, I had a bad viewpoint of ferrets before Harold & Scooter, but it was
because of what I had HEARD! I gave it the chance to prove itself wrong. It was
wrong. Many people won't give ferrets a chance, I know, but WHY can't they just
investigate the situation? Why ARE they legal in most other states? Why do
people want them legal? I wish these people would Find out!!! Don't make
uneducated decisions! If they stay so ignorant on ferret issues, what about
other issues?
  The Humane Society recently wrote me asking for a donation. I wrote back
saying that I love the help they give cats & dogs but that I'd heard disturbing
news on their treatment of ferrets. I asked what they policy on ferrets is. No
response yet...... waiting.
