We are new to ferrets and will be taking ours in for their 1st distemper
shots. This may be a dumb question, but the vet here said they'd be
getting female distemper shots, whereas our literature says they were
given canine distemper shots. Is there a difference? Also, does anyone
keep their ferrets outdoors in a cage? We have ours in a walkin closet
now and they may remain housepets... they are doing pretty well, but I am
not a pet person (the ferrets belong to my daughters, given to them by
their grandma when they were 600 miles away. They all came home on a
plane). My girls are *very* good w/animals and so is their father. We
live on a ranch and have rabbits, goats, dog, cat, potbellied pig,
calves, all outdoors...
