In case anyone is interested, one of my ferrets, Baby, had a splenectomy a
while back when she went in to have a mast cell tumor removed from her hind
leg. Well, the mast cell tumor turned out to be a sebaceuos adenoma instead.
The biopsy on her spleen came back as "extramedullary hematopoetin of an
unknown origin" the usual result. She's doing great, starting to blimp out
again so she's back on a diet. The Totally Ferret is great food but except
with the breeders it puts too much weight on them. I'll be glad when the
maintenance formula comes out.
