I am a new subscriber to this list, so I am most likely asking a
question that has been previously address by the list members. I have a
5 year old female ferret that is experiencing a generalized loss of fur.
The fur loss is most severe on the underside of the tail and there is an
obvious thinning of the fur over the entire body. This condition was
first noticed at the end of December and for a short time it appeared that
the condition may be improving. However, at this time the fur loss is
again very evident. Is this a common condition in an aging ferret?
What are the most likely causes and how can they be diagnosed and
treated?

Thank You,
Tony ([log in to unmask])
