To Troy Lynn concerning the sweet-smelling ferret -

Now I've heard it all. My wife says that ferrets smell like popcorn
when they've been sleeping, but never fruity.

Some animals with diabetes may smell like acetone, but that's about the
best smell that sick animals make. Most of them reek, or may smell of ammonia
if they have kidney disease, but fruity and sweet-smelling????

        I can't think of anything.

I think Dr. Weiss is having trouble connecting to AOL. Ah, the trials
of big time service providers....
