Hello there, ferret owners!
I just wanted to quit my lurking and announce that I am a
proud momma of two ferrets, a 3 1/2 month old female Roo and a 14 week
old male named Nesta. (I must say that there are some Winnie the
Poo lovers out there, because I read of a ferret today with the same
name! Nesta was named after Bob Nesta Marley, however...) Well, we
just wanted to say hello, but I do have one question - does anyone
have problems with their ferrets getting into their fish tanks? Roo
loves to stick her head into the back opening in the top of the tank
(next to the filter) and pull plants out from the gravel bedding.
(She thinks its really amusing to drag them around the carpet while
mommy isn't looking...)
She's been scolded many times and I've even
used Bitter Apple around the bottom of the tank and its stand, but no
luck. It is rather amusing to watch her "dive", but I'm afraid she
might fall in and drown while I'm not around... Any advice would be
appreciated..
                Thanks again,
Roo (who should have been named Diver)
                        Nesta (aka Fat Boy)
                        and Kristen Herzog
