Hey gang! First, thanks for your info and comments on ringworm. I
_am_ aware that I can get it too, but was under the impression that it's not
that likely. My only concern about my getting it would be spreading it
around at work. I live in a one bedroom loft apartment. Since the upstairs
is ALL bedroom, there's no door, which means I can't confine anyone to just
one room. I don't think there is an effective way to isolate Chloe. Am I
just to accept that everyone in this apartment will get it? I still don't
know for sure if it's safe to use the antifungal shampoos and creams if I'm
not even sure they HAVE it. No one, including Chloe, seems to be itching
excessively... hopefully that's a good sign. Well, _I_ itch everytime I hear
or see the word 'ringworm' but that's psychological. :) I still have no idea
when she's going to have these kittens. I'm planning a trip to the vet the
day after they're born to get Chloe's shots and hopefully oral meds for her
ringworm. Btw, once the kittens are old enough to find homes, I'm going to
buy $15.00 gift certificates from my vet for each one then 'sell' each
kitten for $15.00. I'll give the new owner(s) the gift certificate. That way
it's more likely that these kittens will be taken care of after they leave.
Anyone got any ideas on how to help ensure a good home? Please email, I'm
straying from ferret topics. Sorry, Bill. :(

Did anyone happen to log the ferret conference on Compuserv? The one
on the 19th, I believe? If so, please email it to me. I'm really interested
in how that went.

I second the idea for gross nasty disease pictures on the WWW. It
would be helpful to know what to look for. I'm still not sure what Possum
died of. They vet my parents took her to (my mother had the beastlings
visiting her) wasn't too familiar with ferrets I don't think. Anyway, here's
my vote for the pictures on the WWW. Great idea, Charlene!

Names. I try to pick most my pets names related to something
significant to the day I got them. Applejuice and Possum were both named
before I got them. Beckett was named after Dr. Sam Beckett of Quantum Leap.
The day the last episode aired was the day my roommate and I picked him up.
My boyfriend and I bought Max the same day MAN'S BEST FRIEND opened. The
killer dog was named Max3000, so we have Max.3 :) I used to have two
parakeets named One and The Other. "This is One, and this is The Other." :)
I had to name Chloe a real name because she was too beautiful to pick a
silly or cute name.

Well, it's back to work for me. bleah.
