I don't know if anyone's mentioned this before as a cure for a biter or not
but, a few years back I bought a 4 month old hob that hadn't been handled
very much and bit quite hard, almost piercing my thumb one time. I tried the
usual stuff but nothing had an effect on him. Then I remembered that someone
had told me to use a mature, well behaved ferret to cure them of biting. I
put him in a room with Cocoa, a gib who didn't put up with any nonsense.
Cocoa laid into this kit and gave him what for. Within a week the kit had
stopped biting and could be handled easily. He never bit after that except
when he grew up he loved to reach over and give me a little nip on the neck
when I was holding him. Nothing hard, just to get my attention. Then he
would throw his head back like he was laughing and thought that was the
funniest thing. Supposedly and older ferret will teach some "manners" to the
unruly one. In this case it worked. I don't if it was a fluke or works all
the time. If you have an older, larger, nonbiting, semi-agressive ferret
maybe it can straighten her out. Good luck.
