It is LEGAL to own ferrets in South Carolina but ILLEGAL to sell them. which
means, if you want a ferret in SC, you will have to travel out of state to
buy one. Which also means the pets shops and vets are somewhat less than
skilled at ferret business.
the People article featuring Pat Wright has a few errors in it. Overall, I
thought it was a good piece, but the FURR is operated by CDFA with permit and
the only total ban places at this time are CA, DC, MA & HI.
BTW - DON'T feed your ferrets ice cream!!!!!!!
