Rice University, my alma mater, has a long tradition of electing
unusual Homecoming Royalty.  One year they elected a refrigerator
Homecoming Queen; one year they elected a man.  (They began electing a
King as well the following year.)  This year the Homecoming Queen was
Ann Williams, governor of Texas; and the King was... a ferret.  I
haven't been able to find out anything more about him, though. :)
