A while back there was a discussion concerning heartworms and ivermectin (sp?)
which apparently is the usual ingredient in monthly heartworm preventatives.
 
I just got a new prescription of Inteceptor today, which I had previously
thought was ivermectin.  The packaging indicates it's milbemycin oxime.
Perhaps just another name for ivermectin or vice versa?
 
Anyway, I'm just curious as to your comments, if any, on this stuff.
