To Dona, Stephen, and Brittany:
 
        My sympathy on the loss of Greyson.  Most of us that have had ferrets
for any length of time have experienced the helpless feeling of watching a
beloved family member move on.  While there is not much that any of us can say
to alleviate the hurt, I believe that you rightly should take comfort in the
fact that when Greyson needed your help to combat his disease, you were there.
And when he needed peace, you were there once again to provide it, while putting
your own feelings on hold.  That is as much as anyone can do for their pet, and
I'm sure all of the rest of us can appreciate it.
        Take care of yourselves and Brittany.
