Hi all.
It's been awhile since I've caught up on my reading and thought I'd comment
on a few things.
re: male vs female activity. I'd have to agree with Pam Greene. My Pippin
is always getting into something, whereas Beren is more laid back. He is
bigger and stronger and actually seeks out people to play with more often, but
she is always investigating something. I can always find him, but not her,
unless I call "dates" or "treats". She seems to appear from nowhere.
I've seen my munchkins wag tails when playing in the tube, but until last nite
had never heard one of them bark before. I had placed them in their cage and
given them their dates (they don't like raisins, but love dates!) when Pippin
got too close to Beren's date. He barked at her, grabbed his date and moved
over so that she couldn't get it! I laughed...the big dummie put the date
there himself and then yelled at her when she got too close!
re: car rides
My previous two ferrets (Bilbo and Butterscotch) would immediately go to sleep
in the pet taxi or on my lap the minute the car engine started. However, Pippen
and Beren are another story. Pippin will be active for about 10 minutes before
realizing that she might as well go to sleep and the first time in a car she
chewed at the pet taxi door the entire time!
Beren was going absolutely nuts in the cage. I was afraid that he'd hurt
himself the way that he was flinging himself around. Since then, he loves car
rides. I allowed to, he'll sit on your lap with his paws on the dash or the
window sill and look around. Bilbo used to drape himself around my neck and
look out the window. Your furry will calm down - he's young and need to get
used to things.
Have a great day!
Cindy
and Beren & Pippin of course!
Hugs to all munchkins!
