As another data point, we've had ferrets develop a prolapsed rectum
when their food is changed (for example, going from the farm/breeder/pet
store to your home).  If this is the case, it usually clears up in a
week or two, and the ferret *shouldn't* be bothered by it too much.
 
Nice name for your ferret, Scott; our oldest is named Mojo as well......
