Mish--I can totally understand how you feel. I got my two fuzzbeans,
Sophie and Marty, last summer. I was starting to feel that they didin't
like me--whenever I picked them up they seemed to want to get right back
down again. I heard somewhere that it takes ferrets a little while to
bond (~ 1 year)--sure enough, it's true especially with Sophie. When
Sophie wakes up from a nap (one of many during the day) she comes right
to me and hugs my arm so that I can lift her up. She cuddles and stays
in my arms for a pretty long time (in ferret time). They both follow me
wherever I go in the house. Marty isn't as demonstrative as Sophie
although he loves to be in the middle of everything that I'm doing. By
the time I'm finished with school, he'll have a master's degree, too :).
Anyway, don't worry--they will become cuddlers in their own time.
Enjoy--it must be wonderful to have so many warm fuzzies to look forward to.

:-) Stephanie, Sophie, and Marty
