To the anonymous poster who asked about bringing a ferret from NJ to Staten
Island, if it were me, I would not send in the card. NY State does, however,
issue a State ferret license from the Dept. of Environmental Conservation.
Many people ignore this license, however it's only $10 a year (per person,
not per ferret) and is issued automatically to anyone who applies, so it's no
big deal.
For a copy of the application or any other info, contact BIG APPLE FERRETS at
(212) 388-8652, and leave your name and number on the voice mail and Sue or
Neil will call you back. Or you can e-mail me with your info and I'll give
you a call or fax you the application.
