To Ron Broadhead who wants to know why Imrab is only a one year shot ...
 
    Ron - you're right that this shot, while 3 years for cats and dogs, is
only one year for ferrets.  This is due to economics.  Rhone-Merieux simply
did not have the time to run the three year studies and get it approved.
There's always a rush to be first at something, in this case the first
approved vaccine for ferrets.
 
    Chances are it would work for longer than one years - it's just that
the three year studies haven't been done, and may not be worth the cost to
the company for a small market like the ferret market....
