To Chris Haas and anyone else looking for Modern Ferret:

Their email address is [log in to unmask] - once I get into work, I can send you
their real address in Massapequa Park, NY. I have seen the galleys for the
first issue and I encourage all of the FML to order.

I have been asked (and accepted) an assignment with Modern Ferret as Medical
Editor (no charge, or course - I haven't gone Hollywood yet) just to make sure
all of the medical info contained within it is accurate and up-to-date. They
hope to have a whole medical section in the future - including a page or two
for vets which people can tear out or Xerox and take to their vet. I think
it's a great idea.

But the rest of the magazine is a high-quality, color journal dedicated to the
joys of owning ferrets. I think it's great.

[Moderator's note: The Modern Ferret folks sent me a post last night about the
magazine and what is going on with it. Since they thought I might consider
their post to be too commercial in nature they wanted to clear it with me
before posting it to the FML. I think their post is fine and suspect that
you'll be seeing it posted today or tomorrow. BIG]
