We have a dog (7 year old Westie) and my younger daughter
wants a second pet.  She has suggested a ferret.  I read
the FAQs on ferrets.  I have some questions:  how well will
a ferret and a dog (who has been the center of attention)
get along?  Does a ferret require the number of vet vists
(along with the associated costs) as a dog?  What does one
ordinarily do with their ferret when they go away for a
vacation (we board our dog)?
