PRESS RELEASE
In the wake of the tragic release of older, adult black-footed
ferrets, a highly endangered species, in Badlands National Park, South
Dakota, a new, national organization has been formed to represent the
interests of the species.
The Society for the Protection and Conservation of the Black-footed
Ferret is composed of those persons with an interest in the ferret, in
particular, and wildlife advocates in general. Membership in the
organization if free of charge and a membership card may be obtained by
sending a stamped, self-addressed envelope to: Society for the Protection
and Conservation o~ the Black-Footed Ferret (SPCBFF), 140 W. 29th Street,
