>As some of you may recall, one year ago in May our 3 ferrets, Ben, Jerry, and
>Buttercup, were vaccinated against canine distemper with Fervac-D. Ben and
>Jerry came down with severe anaphylactic reactions. s I see it, the choice
>of distemper vaccine for Ben and Jerry is Galaxy-D (not recommended for
>ferrets) or nothing. Which ome huge preditor has attacked and it will
fight back. If possible, approach from the front; reach slowly so that
you're sure she has seen and recognized you (remember they are very
nearsighted). You might slap the floor with your hand so that she'll feel
the vibration, if you [...]38_28Jan199509:46:[log in to unmask] 9501 17459 30 4_Ears20_Todd & Andi [log in to unmask], 28 Jan 1995 10:04:52 -0400532_- Does anybody have any tricks, like the ones that have been posted for nail
trimming, that might help me clean my ferrets ears? Some of ours have been
itching at theirs, so I decided it was time to clean them (I was looking
for mites, but it seemed to be normal red/brown wax). The big unnamed guy
had some nasty stuff in there - from gooey to hard - and tried to scratch
at his ears whenever I was working on him. Also the inside had some rather
red areas - could this be an ear infection I'm dealing with? [...]48_28Jan199510:04:[log in to unmask] 9501 17490 106 19_ATTN: Ferret Groups16_Katherine [log in to unmask], 28 Jan 1995 11:00:46 -0500343_- Hello,
A few days ago I put up a proposal to do a Web page for those
groups out there that are interested. Her is a copy of my proposal to
lookat, because there was some confusion as to whether I was just
trying to compile another list of ferret groups that already exists
via STAR. I assure you it's not the same thing. [...]53_28Jan199511:00:[log in to unmask] 9501 17597 14 32_Re: FERRET Digest - 23 Jan 19...13_Vicki [log in to unmask], 28 Jan 1995 16:26:46 -0500489_- Hi! On this day, the 23rd, and the subsequent digests that have been
received by me, practically the whole dialogue has not come through to me. I
get the headings, the topics of the day listings, then MAYBE the beginning
line or two of a story, then nothing. Is there something wrong with my
equipment? I was very interested in some of the topics listed and was very
disappointed that the dialogue was not there. Could you please get back to
me on this? Thanks... [...]39_28Jan199516:26:[log in to unmask] 9501 17612 6 [log in to unmask], 28 Jan 1995 16:41:00 EST39_- Testing

Actually I've been newly adopted by a young ferret, an 8-9 week-old
kit that took my daughter and son a year and a half to negotiate
with Mom.

We're doing very well so far (1st week)!

I've downloaded the FAQs, read them last night, and am asking for
advise. [...]44_28Jan199517:45:[log in to unmask] 9501 17644 25 19_Passing of a friend27_Pam Grant and STAR* [log in to unmask], 28 Jan 1995 19:59:33 -0500402_- I laid my ferret down to rest,
no more his spirit had to test.

The shaking stopped, the pain now gone,
his spirit free to travel on.

This friendly ghost, his coat once white,
has yellowed now in aged light.

His eyes once bright are clouded now,
especially through my teared shroud.

T'was time to do the humane thing,
and end a life that joy did bring. [...]39_28Jan199519:59:[log in to unmask] 9501 17670 27 46_Re: FERRET Digest - 27 Jan 1995 t

At this time I am at Middlebury College in VT, but my permanent voting
address is in Mass. Again, at this time, I own one ferret (I hope to own
two this time next month... :) )To the anon poster of yesterday, I would
be glad to give any help needed to legalize carpet weasels in Mass. If
you need anything, or just one more registered voters voice, e-mail me.
Good luck
