        Your vet is right.  Grainy "birdseed" feces are simply poorly digested
food and can be caused by a variety of syndromes, even food that does ot agree
with your pet.  The occasionally grainy feces probably does not mean very much,
but if passed on a consistent basis, may be cause for alarm.
 
        We recently have seen "birdseed" feces in outbreaks of the green
diarrhea.  Have you had any additions to your "family" or been to any ferret
shows?
