Howdy!

To simplify and to cut down on my on-line time, here is an update on the
buggy problem. Thank you to all who have responded. (I have tried the
Lysol, to no avail.)

Another question--has anyone uploaded ferret GIF files to AOL? I do not know
how to access Internet directly, and would love to see some pics of other's
fuzzies. I will be adding some pics of my own, after the move to Kokomo is
complete, and we get access to a scanner.

I am sorry for the sad stories of late. We almost lost Davey to a bacterial
infection (green virus? we are not sure), and I can just imagine what you
feel like. Our prayers are with you.

Preperations for the move (Sept 30th) are progressing. of course, the most
relevant issue there is a local AOL node--so we can play online without the
long distance call charges!! YAY!!!

Any other bug updates? Any ferret GIFs? Thanks in advance,
Kelly & Michael, and the Ferret Fuzzies (who LOVE the boxes) and the Feline
Furries (who are grateful for the additional ferret-free perches)

Howdy!

Thank you for your offer to help with the bug problem. Just today, I again
cleaned the entire cage, including litter box, with a soap and bleach
mixture, and washed all of the bedding. I am sorry to say that I had not
thought of the food dish, because I never see any bugs there. The only
places I see them is in the litter box in the cage, and in one other box that
is in the same room. The three other boxes throughout the house are bug
free. I have now cleaned out the food dish, too, and all litter and food has
been replaced with new and clean.

The bus age small, and a uniform dark brown. They are lighter than weevils
in color, and smaller. They are less than 5mm in length. They fly, so are
not fleas. They are not on the animals, either cat or ferret, although (with
the exception of the caged box), all the animals use the same boxes.

I hope that this last cleaning gets rid of them. The thought of bugs in the
litter box is truly disgusting--I feel that I am not keeping the fuzzies'
home clean enough for them. I feel the same about roaches. Not that I hate
all bugs, I don't; but those that indicate uncleanliness--yuck!!!

Do you think that they could be brought into the house in the scoopable
litter (Lasting Pride) as eggs?

Any comments appreciated. Thanks in advance,
Kelly & Michael, and the Bugged Family
