        To Liesl concerning Alky -

Whew! At least the urinalysis is normal. But don't rely on just one, I
would suggest at least one more in a week or two if there is no improvement.
Barring that, possible sources of a bloody discharge would be draininage from a
hyperactive uterine stump as the result of stimulation by excessive adrenal
hormones (how's her hair coat?), vaginitis, and local irritation by the ferret.
I would start with keeping that area cleansed with a mild soap/water solution
daily and application of an antibiotic cream supplied by your vet. If that is
unsuccessful, then we may want to pursue other avenues. A drop of blood will
not cause a ferret much problem but we want to get it taken care of, anyhow.
Maybe Dr. Brown has some other suggestions...
