My husband and I are STRONGLY considering adopting a pair of ferrets.
Currently, we do not have children, though plan to start our family in a
couple of years.  We've heard that ferrets and young children are not
always a good mixture.  We would love to hear from some ferret owners who
also have young children.  Our current plan would be to only let our
ferrets and children play in the same room with our supervision.  Is this a
reasonable plan?
 
Thanks for all you "double parents" (with young kids and ferrets) who will
send us your advice!
