Dr Daldin is a wonderful, compassionate, talented vet, but being that she's
an Ann Arbor specialist, her fees are a bit too high for me. Another reason
I visit Dr. Harr over Dr. Daldin is a very slight prejudice against newer
vets; Dr. D's very earnest and thorough, has taken care of my rats and
lizards and rats and more rats, but I'm pickier than hell about where my
pets go and Dr. Harr simply has more experience. I also ran into a problem
where the Ann Arbor veterinary clinic wanted to charge me $20 for a 15-min
consultation about GETTING FERRET INFO from Dr. D; maybe now that she has
her own practice she's not charging for advice, but the fact that I couldn't
reach her to talk to her on the phone over the course of two weeks framed her
fairly negatively in my mind. For exotic animal info, though, the owner
of Pets N' Things in Saline, Steve, is a wonderful man and a font of knowledge
(he also has SLOTHS in his store. Check 'em out, they have the run of a
ceiling set-up of branches and vines :).

Re: Tail-wagging--Potpie has only done this a few times, but each time she
had squeezed herself under a bookback leaning against the stairs; as I
tickled her nose and she opened her Ferret Jaws Of Death her tail'd
waggle back and forth until I was laughing too hard to tease her any more. :)

Melissa,
going to take Potpie Outside now that it's gotten over 40 degrees again,
and Potpie,
who doesn't quite know if she likes Outside yet. :)
