hello all
well it's been a trip figuring out how to send this out. i've been reading for
awhile and it has been truley intresting. so here's our story:
we got our first ferret "flower" about a year ago & she was quite use to being
and only ferret, her original owners could not keep her and so some friends
had taken her in. flower did not do well with an extended family of 11
ferrets, so that's how she came to us. flower gets along with our cat, cashew,
but i suspect it's because the cat is bigger than her and can run away when
flower is grouchy. one chomp from the ferret and the cat is "out of there".
we recently aquired another ferret, she is much lighter in color than flower,
i wouldn't describe it as white, more like a beige.....i'm not sure whether
it's because the new ferret is younger (does this mean she will get darker as
she gets older? or is there a name for this sort of beige colored ferret?)
our new ferret is quite the survior; the family that we got her from found her
(in her cage) along the boulder/denver highway. as if that were not tramautic
enough, not long after this family rescued her, one of the teenage boys
accidently dropped a book on her right back paw. she has not really used that
leg/foot for apx 2 weeks this according to the family we got her (?) from.
we have "beijing" scheduled to visit the vet today 12/8 and have noticed that
she is using the foot and putting more weight on it, but it still does not
"look" right.
are sable ferrets a light beige color? also any suggestions for intergrating
flower (the previously only child) and our new ferret beijing?
