Hello all...

Well, only 5 months after losing my 7 year old female Sydney, we just lost
our 5 year old male, Percy.
I took him to be put down the other day; he had been losing weight severely
for about 3
months; the vet said it was cancer. He was actually my younger brother's
ferret; he was heartbroken. Percy was great right up until the end. I kissed
his nose and told him we loved him.
He was the best pet anyone could ever have had, and he will be sorely missed.
I buried him in the backyard in the shade.

I sincerely thank everyone for taking the time to keep this list going.
We are petless for the first time in many years, but just being able to keep
in touch with the list is a great joy to me. Hopefully someday in the future
we can have new ferrets.

Maybe each one of us will take the time to give our pets (and each other)
that little extra attention, even in our busy lives. I know there were many
times when I was too rushed to stop and play with the little guys, and
though I know we gave them the best home they could have had, I still wish
I could have those wasted moments back.

Life is indeed short....let's all live and love to the fullest!!

Best wishes to all.....

Rich and the spirits of Nee-nee and Perc.
