I can't speak for weasels in general, but my female Frieda likes
to drink from _whatever_   I have in a cup. I'm partial to acidic drinks
myself, but her favorites combine acid and sugar: apple juice and any of
the new combinations which include citrus. She tried grapefruit juice and
didn't like it very much, and she has tried to drink beer on the very rare
occasions I have some, but she doesn't like it. However, even if I get a
re-fill of something she doesn't like, she stick her nose in again. For
her, at least, it seems to be more a matter of sticking her face in the
cup, rather than _drinking_ what's in the cup.
BTW, she LOVES apple juice, which came in handy when she got sick once and
didn't want to drink. I flavored some water with a bit of juice, and was
able to get her re-hydrated without having to resort to sub-q fluids.
