I'm interested to find out how ferrets in single-ferret households act.
Vanilla tends to be a loner and spends a lot of time by herself. She
comes out when she wants, doesn't necessarily play (although she's 6
years old now), just knocks some things over before finding a new place
to curl up.

Is this a sign of old age or because she's a single ferret? I tried
getting a second one once but it didn't work (she let me know by
defiantly pooping on my bedspread while I watched that she didn't want
any brothers or sisters).

Also, since her surgery, she's really REALLY sleeping a lot. Is this normal?
 Thanks...

Shelly and Vanilla
