Mark> My 4 yr old female ferret developed a benign tumor at
Mark> the very tip of her tail about 6 months ago. The
Mark> removal turned out fine, but they had to shave about 2
Mark> inches of her tail. They said it would grow back, but
Mark> it hasn't. Has anyone else had a similar experience? I
Mark> can't see how it would cause any serious problems or
        Mark> anything, I'm just curious.

Ack! This is not encouraging. One of my ferrets had his neck shaved
a couple of weeks ago for a blood sample and boy does he look weird.
Part of his neck has stubble but most of it is still bald.
