SUCCESS IN COBB COUNTY, GA !!!!!

On the evening of June 28, 1994 the Cobb County Board of Commissioners
voted 5-0 to remove ferrets from the restricted animal section of the
animal control ordinance.

Effective July 1, 1994 it will be legal to "sell, purchase, exhibit or
own a pet ferret without a license or permit provided that the ferret
owner can provide valid documentation that the ferret is sexually
neutered prior to seven months of age and is vaccinated against rabies
with a properly administered vaccine approved for use on ferret by the
United States Department of Agriculture."

This change in the ordinance, which was passed last November banning
ferrets in the county, reflects the current Georgia state law. In other
words, they've undone what they did last fall.

That's one for our side - now on to Clayton and Douglas Counties.

Georgia Domestic Ferret Association
