Ours HATED baths in the sink, hiding the minute we started running water,
and we had to cage them before, then take them out one at a time for washing.
Then one day I was in the shower, it had been a while since I washed them
and Chester was on the counter nearby, sooooo... I grabbed him and washed
him in the shower with me. He LOVED it! I dried him, put him down, and
finished and when I looked out, he was standing at the edge of the tub
with a "Let's do it again!" look only ferrets are capable of. Katie soon
caught on and now they both come running in as soon as the shower starts.
(No, doc, we don't wash them EVERY time we shower, though they want it.)
They taught our newest addition, Martha, and now she queues up, also.
Not sure what it is, but suspect it is the warmer water that attracts them.
(Although cold water doesn't faze them. Katie dives into the sink up to
her shoulders to pull the drain plug and a day after we got her, we
caught Martha body-surfing in the large waterbowl we keep for the cats.
Needless to say, the cats were not amused. Neither was my wife, when the
wet one leaped up on the couch and ran up her dress!)
