Hi all,

I don't have much time to write, so hopefully this will be short.

Regarding airlines: The *ONLY* major airline I have found that does
not explicitely ban ferrets is America West. The reason being, instead
of all of the other airlines who say, "We only allow dogs, cats, and birds
in the cabin," America West says "We do NOT allow reptiles, amphibians, or
insects in the cabin." Think about it. Dogs and cats can be noisy when
distraut - ferrets are quiet and sleep when they travel. Very frustrating.

Regarding media attention: What about all the ferret clubs putting
together educational video tapes regarding ferrets, and then perhaps
the head of the ferret clubs take on the responsibility of viewing all
the tapes, and making one really good conglomerate tape, and then having
it produced and marketed - selling/giving copies to TV programs, news programs,
free access channels, schools, other places where the "correct" knowledge
could do some good... Just an idea. I know it would be a lot of work...

Regarding thievery: Nina, my devious little girl, managed to get up on
my desk, open the raisin container (which was packed away since we were
all going on a little vacation), get the lid off, and steal a clump of
stuck together raisins (about 6 in that clump), after the fact that she
had had her raisin quota for the day. I caught her with the clump of
raisins as she was scurrying across the bed, trying to get away with
the raisins before mommy found out. And I being the mean mommy that I
am took away her prize. She got over it though.

Regarding stupid people in general: I *hate* stupid people! Even
worse are ignorant people who tell you the "facts" even though they
know they know nothing about the subject. I'm just a bit frustrated
with constantly trying to defend my pets and our right to exist and
be treated like other "normal" pet owners (i.e., dog and cat owners).
Sigh....

Anyway, take care everyone, and happy ferreting...

&&& Chris and Scooter (yes another), and Nina, and Tavi Bear &&&
