Howdy!!
We have discovered a way to keep the ferrets out of the couch. And it
actually seems to be working. We bought a new couch in November, and the
ferrets just tore through the soft underside and began to slowly remove all
the stuffing to hidey-holes unknown. Well, as you can guess, discipline
did nothing. So, we tried burlap. Thanks for the extra hammocks, Mom!
That was fine until it became boring just to sleep under there while there
was so much couch to explore!! This is my first *adult* furniture, and I
love my c-sharks, but not so that I want to sacrifice my couch!!! They
already have one easy chair (NOT a recliner) to destroy, why can't they be
happy with that? So, we bought screen--yes, the stuff in your windows--and
stapled it to the bottom of the couch. The edges are turned under for
safety. The funny part is you can just hear their little minds a-going..
"There's my hidey-hole, I can see it, but there's something in the
way..maybe if I just dig..(faint cheese-grater noises here)..nope, didn't
work..guess I'll play somewhere else..that pile of laundry Mom's folding
looks like fun.."
Does anybody else's ferret eat with his but in the hammock and front paws
on the food dish? Or is Davey just talented?
Take care!!
