My daughter, Kristi, showed her ferret in the Grimes County Fair Pet Show
under "misc. pets".  She got 1st place in that division and a nice plaque
and her picture in the paper with the other winners.  Kayla acted
beautifully for the whole show and attracted a lot of attention.
 
Awhile back we stopped at the Navasota Public Library to show our ferrets
to the librarians we know there.  There just happened to be school
children there working on reports.  We caused quite a stir.  Not only do
we homeschool, but we own ferrets!  Most everyone was excited for the
unplanned interruption, though.
