Thought I'd warn everyone about this - according to what I read on
the Usenet newsgroup rec.pets, the CBS TV show Northern Exposure
completely misrepresented ferrets on their most recent episode. I
haven't watched it lately, so I didn't see it, but the poster said
that they had it making lots of very non-ferret noises - more like
growling. One of the characters said that the ferret in question
should be returned to the wild! Anyone see this? I think it might
be time to educate CBS. BTW, here's the address: CBS Television,
7800 Beverly Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90036. The phone number is (213)
852-2345.
PLEASE, could we wait on complaining until a FMLer confirms this? I
want to know exactly what to correct them on. I know that the
character who made the above statement is often presented as a bit
dense or simple (Ed), but even if he was making it out of ignorance,
there was no mention of this. Also, the idea of wildness or viciousness
in ferrets should not be promoted at all.
Denise, plus Rocko (doing fine) & Randall, and Grumpy the hamster
