I really enjoyed reading your story about Adrianne. I guess I wasn't sure by
what you said if you still had her or not. What a smart ferret! It reminds me
of a ferret I had several years ago. Her name was Tazhi and she had a favorite
toy (a hard rubber Snap, Crackle, or Pop -I'm not sure which- figurine). She
always kept it in the middle of a cloth covered photo album I had. You could
say "Tazhi come get your baby", and she would come running, take it from me,
run to the bedroom, climb up my wicker basket (which I had the photo album on),
and set it right in the middle of the photo album in the little circle where a
picture is supposed to go. She was my first and smartest ferret I've ever had.
When I would be studying, she would climb up my sweat pants and sweatshirt and
park herself on the back of my neck. She enjoyed napping there while I studied.
It seems like it's not very often that you come across a very smart ferret with
such a unique personality. I always get a kick out of seeing ferrets who act
more human than ferret!
