For her first seven or eight months Pixxel would wake up and drag
herself around by her front legs for a minute or two, stretching and
shaking her rear half. The apparent numbness never seemed to bother
her, didn't favor one side, and always wore off without any residual
effects. Of crouse, I'm far from qualified to diagnose Abu's problem.

Post script about litter training: Our pair were doing really well,
maybe an accident every three weeks, 'till we switched from Tidy Cat
to a litter made of recycled newspaper pellets. For the whole time we
used the new stuff (about a month) there were "accidents" every day,
despite our training efforts (scolding, treats, and crumpled towels).
Since we switched back a week ago there hasn't been a single mistake.
(On the other hand, they don't seem to mind a bit when we switch food
brands, which we do every bag or two just to keep them from getting
too attached to one.)
