    Hi! I currently live in MI and have the same fears you do.  I'm afraid the
pet stores are going to over-do it, and the people buying the ferrets are going
to be clueless.  If (when) ferrets become legal here, I'd like to get a group
of volunteers together and either send or personally give as many pet stores as
possible information about ferrets so they can learn more about ferrets and
pass it on to their customers. Also, I used to help rehabilitate orphaned or
sick animals. When ferrets become legal here, we're going to need shelters. If
I can find a place and get some volunteers to help me out, I'd like to open one
in the Lansing area. We know what's coming, we've just got to get ready for it.
I'm glad to see there are others concerned with this matter.
