Thanks for the phone calls

All,

Thank you all who made the calls to MD on behalf of the ferret kit. I
appologize to everyone for the scarcity of information in my post and for the
wrong phone number. I did the post at the request of a MD ferret
organization and that was the number they gave me. Anyway. . . .

The fate of the ferret has not yet been decided (as of a few minutes ago -
Wednesday 7:10 PM). The ferret hasn't been picked up by Public Health
officers. I have heard that the phone lines to the Dept of Public Health
were "quite busy" today with phone calls.

I've been told that the parents of the girl that was bitten last December,
are threatening to sue the owner of the ferret if it isn't killed and tested.
Seems like they were fed a lot of bad information. I hope that the MD
ferret organization will contact them and give them the facts. I hope that
the parents will listen long enough to hear the facts.

I'll post any updates as I hear them.

Thanks everyone.

Dick Bossart
