My husband and I were in the pet store this
evening buying our fuzzies the new supply of
food for the month, and got talking to one
of the employees. Of course the conversation
turned to ferrets, and we discovered that she
had recently adopted a ferret from a friend
(who wanted the best for both the ferret and
the 2 year old who started to harrass the poor
thing). ANYWAYS . . . the new adopter stated
how the ferret digs A LOT and had shredded
items (i.e. drapes, rugs, etc.) at the previous
house. Well, the new owner wants me to inquire
about declawing her ferret. I personally have
never heard of anything to do with declawing, so
I thought I would leave it to the experts. I
am going to be calling her this weekend, so thanks
for those replys. And, if she can not declaw, could
anyone give any helpful advice? We would love to
adopt another, but 3 are enough, especially still
being in school and my mom not caring too much
for them when we go home for the holidays.
Thanks again for the info. Oh, and she needs
to do something soon because the little girl is
starting to eye her new couch. And seperating
the ferret cannot be done in her studio apartment.
