I didn't mean to sound so condescending in my last message. That wasn't
my intent and I may have sounded a bit more emotional that rational. I
have little else but my ferrets and my computers. If given the choice
between saving my critters' life and replacing a hard drive, the
critters win out. My friends and family know this and will gladly wait
for their presents. Most will be happy with just a card. My only child
has grown, so my four-footed 'kids' take front row center. I just
brought my oldest 'kid' home from the vet. She's doing well after the
insulinomas were removed. The vet also gave her fluids, expressed her
'pooter' and cleaned her teeth. I can pay the bill in installments,
too. The fax modem will wait til Christmas, unless we can get one
donated between now and then. The shelter is crammed full of critters
again. a dozen or so are ready for adoption. others will be cleared by
the weekend. Seems that the Christmas season is also the season of
'giving up' (ferrets that is).
