Hello, everyone!

I'm a friend of Chris Haas, a long time subscriber, and a new subscriber to
the list. I'm currently working on an assignment in which I have to do a
speech on a controversial subject and argue for or against it, so I chose to
argue against the bass-ackward states that have anti-ferret laws. I was
wondering if anyone out there has any sort of "reliable" information, like
case histories, copies of the actual laws. I'm aware of the McDowell case,
and any official info regarding that would certainly be appreciated. I've
heard rumors about how California officials treat ferrets, but I don't have
anything I could actually put as a reference. I'd be grateful for anything
anyone could contribute, especially quotable sources. Please direct all
responses to: [log in to unmask]

Thanks a million!!
